The anatomy of a mountain bike

There is a lot of terminology to learn if you're a fan of mountain biking. These enthusiasts have own language, what with "face plants, Boing-Boing, drillium and wild pigs.
However, there is also a bicycle terminology remains same regardless of the user's age, and that is the terms used for individual parts of the bike. And its important to know these well.
1. BB – A circular hole in the lower frame of the bike used to attach the plate.
2. Brake cable – The cable that connects the brake lever with the brake mechanism.
3. Lever Brake – Lever on the handlebar to activate the brakes. The left lever controls the front brake, right lever controls the rear brake.
4. Chain – all links circular metal that transfers power from the chain ring gears. There are two types of bicycle chains: hub and bushingless.
5. Dishes – Part of the crankset. A pinion or sprocket that attaches to the handle and holding the string. Bikes can take from two to three dishes.
6. Crank – Part of the crankset. The lever or "arm" that connects the pedal to the bottom bracket.
7. Derailleur – The device that moves the chain from one plate to another inorder to shift gears.
8. Down tube – Part of the structure. The tube that runs diagonally from the address bar (with handlebar holder) to the bottom bracket. Above this is the top tube that goes from the steering tube to headquarters.
9. collision – a system of front suspension fork that allows the bike to absorb shocks without transmitting them to the rider.
10. Handlebar – The horizontal bar at the front of the bike that is used to steer and containing the levers and break levers and anything else a cyclist want to have at your fingertips.
11. Headset – The unit that houses the bearings that allows the handlebars and front wheel to rotate in the frame of a bicycle. There are two types of headphones, thread and the thread.
12. Hub – The center of the wheel of the bicycle, which consists of a shaft and ball bearings to allow the wheel to move easily. Moreover, the spokes leave the hub of the bicycle tire.
13. "An idler pulley takes up the slack in the chain to keep the force at all times.
