How does a bike fit is right?

This is the second question I often get the first one, "I do not need an adaptation of the bike or a new bike because my bike fit just fine. "The question of whether a motorcycle is adapted or not been asked for decades and at the end of days, the answer is not entirely in the realm of "art" or "science." For me, I feel that it is a science to determine what is right for one person and an art work with the person to get the desired results. So the answer to the question is: "I do not know if a bike fit is correct unless find a better way to determine the "right" is. "

Most bicycle adjustment programs and protocols revolve around a set optimal dimensions and angles derived from testing a large group of individuals. The installer bike then try to find the crucial measurements from the corridor and then attempts to use the scale and angles provided in the attachment system to implement these dimensions of courtesy to a bicycle. The term "left me a bicycle is the most appropriate because for most people in the world who are trying to find the best compromise in comfort and efficiency to special bike usable.

In the case of a single speed bike commuter in Copenhagen Denmark, the difference of one or two inches in seat height can make any appreciable difference. The bike still will get to work. In the case of specialist professionals 21 years of age Criterium, the requirements for accuracy in adapting to climb, but the ability of a young body suits is quite high and, for many different configurations will be alright.

When a 40 years old is shifting gears on the bike and want to do a triathlon, the requirement of form is so important to the bicycle rider, with two caveats.

1) A 40-year-old is not going to ride in the same position as a 21-year old full time bike rider would. The expected range is reduced each year. Not only that, injuries and diseases such as scoliosis that the increasingly narrow range.

2) Many people get serious about cycling as an adult has no idea what a good bike fit feel because they have never experienced.

My example of this situation is: Molly is 6 years old and in first grade. She has trouble reading the letters and words on the board and others in the class do not. What Molly does not know is that she need glasses and others do not. Molly thinks there is another reason for its difficulty because she has never considered the possibility that she can not see as well as others. In other words, Molly thinks that looks great!

I had written recently about the relative difficulty of a person professionally and properly fitted for a bicycle and I am still surprised that after all these years is not an easy task to get things perfect. This explains why so many people who are "equipped" by their local bike shops think they're getting the best there is, because that's all they know. It is not just recreational athletes who struggle with adapting the bike, either. Many professional athletes I find that horrible settings on your bike. They are so incredibly talented nonetheless pass and, course, are unable to complain of discomfort.

So while the answer to the question of whether a bike fit is correct or not is not easy, here are some things you should think about the next time you travel to help you determine what is right and what is not.

1) Do you have pain saddle, especially in the front of the chair?

2) Do you lower back, shoulder or neck pain?

3) Do your hands go numb? What about your feet?

4) When you take hands off the handlebars while riding, do not tend to want to slide forward?

5) Is it hard to see when you drive with your hands in the drops?

6) Do they have sore knees, especially in the front?

7) Did you 're constantly pushing back in his chair to find a comfortable place but keep sliding forward?

8) Is your bike unstable in the corners or decreases?

All these are indicators of a less than optimal configuration of the bike. I encourage you to question if the bike is right for that, instead of whether they are right for the bike. I think they are part of the equation and if you drive, the time spent is worth more than even the world's most expensive bike. You can have a comfortable, safe and exciting time on a bike, every time.

Hope you have questions after reading this and are happy to help find a good and sustainable responses.

It is a bicycle worth the cost? "

As opposed to a cheap K-mart bike ... to go to work dressed in business two miles ... is faster / easier to drive w / out getting sweaty? Thanks!

Remember that the department stores are not in the business of selling motorcycles. They can have them in stock, but the quality is not there. " The price is attractive but the fun ends when you leave the store. Spend more and get a reliable bike in a bike shop. It is safe to say that you will receive a reliable bike if you buy at a bike shop, because bicycles are their business. A reputable bike shops is what keeps them in business. If you have any problem, they will be more than willing to get your bike back on the road as soon as possible. You will not receive this type of service in a department store bike. Also, many bike shops will add some cool free stuff to buy if you ask.
