I would say you spent the money ot of bad components. Its front and rear derailleurs are pretty poor, especially the front, but then I went ahead almost top end centers and back! Suntour forks are not exactly what is considered a good do to the forks, and the framework of GT is also pretty average. I do not know what you are planning on using your bike for, but if it was me I spend more money on the fork, frame and gears and save money in the rest of the components.
