Rear suspension and derailleur question?

I have a full suspension mtb with a 9-speed tape. I took off the rear derailleur (SRAM X.7) for cleaning (soaked in degreaser diluted) and mounted back on my bike and put a new shift cable on it, and now I can not nail the setting. I have a stand at the brand new work (as in, have Never Used one before). Me referred to the instructions of my switch to reset the high, low, and indexing, and I can get them to change through the gears 1-8 or 2-9, playing with the tension cable, so you need a change somewhere. I've never tried to change the bike with the suspension of cargo, so when I'm actually riding the thing, I change through all gears of 9? Anything else you should try to get the movement down? I do not think it's all bent out of place, but I suppose it could be.

Yes ... was not a good idea to absorb all the switch in the solvent. It will not kill it, and honestly should not affect their movement from the way they are saying, but in the future, just wipe everything clean and maintain the eight body pivots lubricated with light oil from time to time. For now, I suggest you not try to disarm the pivots for grease ..... one of them is easy and the other is a pain in the back! Try to drip some lube heavy for these two pivots, and should be fine. As for your problem travel, do you also replace the cable box, or just the cable? If not, you could start there. It sounds like your shifter is not working cable properly, or the binding is possibly friction in the home. Two other things .... double-checking to make sure that when refitting the switch not receiving the b-screw mashed against the tab on the back of the derailleur suspension (in the table). That's easy to make and throw your shifing will be a little. In addition, if there is any possibility that his suspension was bent, take it to a bike shop and check for yourself (or buy the tool itself for $ 50). Can not eyeball alignment of suspension, you have to use the tool to check and adjust if necessary. Hope this helps some, then back if needed further assistance. Good luck! : O)
