Do u think the oil companies never let us convert solar water power, electric cars?
we have had knowledge of the use of alternative energy for more than four decades, but why are not there yet? Do u think the oil companies Dupont, GM and all others have left out these ideas for their own benefit?
I think the market demand for alternative energy when it comes to an industry competitive in the market ... Right now solar power is an option only for government buildings and the super rich .... the average cost to build a network of "off" 5 KV solar system to drive home is about $ 75,000 .... You would have to live there for 52 years to pay the costs including the cost of the solar system compared with the average cost of powering your home with coal fire electricity. Water power is already intensive commoditiy ... virtually every state in the nation uses hydroelectric power dams ... but the energy that is normally generated for rural areas and major metropolis can not feed ... In the Mojave Desert that have all the desert landscape full of wind farms .... windmills as far as the eye can see .... can not even see what the mountains appear because every square inch of the desert is covered with white windmills .... and even with this massive array of wind energy ... are only capable of generating 20% Palm Springs Desert Hot Springs and electrical needs. People want to force everyone to use renewable energy, but ... there applications where it is viable in any practice. When the wind and solar panels are capable of power in the city of Los Angeles then maybe we will have something that can go to market ... otherwise the government is forcing people to pay three times or four times more energy because they want to force us to be "environmental conscience" and believe me it used to be a card with Greenpeace members ... but I saw no practical applications at the moment and people need to be able to feed and clothe their children instead of paying $ 800.00 bills electricity. Let the market tell us that energy is viable renweable .... politicians do not force it down our throats .... I understand the idealistic view of love a pollution free world where everyone lives by the power generated by the sun, but .... we are far from being able to seize that power figures and until someone discover how to do almost .... we need to be realistic about the feasibility of these ideas .... instead of being realistic ... Washington DC is barreling ahead with legislation and the tax code that essentially punishes the people and organizations the power of this country ... all while subsidizing energy sources that are totally unable to meet demand. The market is smarter than we give credit to the whole world wants to ... renewable energy in the room .... but technology have to be there first ... and we can not call GM Dupont and monopolistic bad when the only organizations providing practical options.
