Odyssey White Steel and Dual Force putters
In this article we will discuss two product lines of putters from Odyssey, white steel putter line double Force.
White Steel
White Steel product line consists of 8 different putters divided into two general classifications, basic models, which based on the traditional blade putter mallet designs and Progressive models, which use more modern techniques for weight distribution and alignment aid.
The common denominator of the White Steel Putter line is the putter face. There are two inserts in the putter face, one is a light urethane insert that is also used in the White Hot Putter line. This tube is quite large and has a good amount of the putter face. The material is lightweight and provides a soft feel at impact. This material light on the face means more weight to the back of the putter head and this places the CG (center of gravity) of the putter head further back and helps improve the MOI (moment of inertia). With a higher MOI of the putter head will not twist in both off-center hits, improving accuracy. A second steel insert milled steel is placed over the largest urethane insert. This tube is the milling machine and has a consistent surface that enhances the roll of the ball. It also has a pleasant sound, which also improves the overall "feel" of the putter. This line of putters also features an alignment system two lines, and putters come with an anatomical grip which adds to the overall soft feel.
There are three putters that are currently offered in the principal product line, and these are called White Steel no.1, no. 5, and Rossie models. The White Steel no. 1 putter is a blade style that has a full shaft offset. The White Steel no. 5 putter is a mallet style with a double bent shaft that gives a compensation axis. The White Steel Rossie is also a mallet putter with an axis of displacement. All these putters have an MSRP of $ 119 and all the White Steel features described above, the putter face insert double feature alignment two lines, and a winch Red Odyssey grip produced by Winn Grips, are included.
In Progress of the product line there are three types of 2-Ball putters. The White Steel 2-Ball has the White Steel features along with 2-Ball alignment. This club retails for $ 169. The White Steel 2-Ball Middle has half the length of the shaft and is sold for $ 235. The White Steel 2-Ball Blade 2 is a 2-Ball putter that has more than one form of the blade in the heel and foot areas, and of course you have the alignment 2-Ball in the middle. Odyssey website does not have a sales page for this club in a normal link Click to view pricing and ordering. Either they are out of stock or have an incorrect link on the site, I suspect the latter. In any case, no price is given for this putter.
There are two putters offered with SRT (Saturn Ring Technology), a 3-Ball and 2-Ball design. A semicircular ring of metal is in the back of the putters. This setting must have a very high MOI, so it would be ideal putters for golfers who have trouble consistently hitting putts solidly in the sweet spot. The White Steel Tri Ball SRT putter retails for $ 199, and the White Steel 2-Ball SRT sells for $ 189. Again, all aspects of the White Steel product line in these clubs as well.
Odyssey Dual Force Putters Golf
The Dual Force 2 is an improved version of the classic putter design that revolutionized the putter with the use of inserts in the putter face. In the new version the insert is called an insert Stronomic. The MDI of these putters has also increased. There are three putters available in this family, and they have the same form as the kernel Steel White family, ie, no. 1, no. 5, and Rossie versions. As stated earlier, the No. 1 putter is a design style sheet, while the no. 5 and Rossie putters are mallet style. They all have an axis of displacement, and each costs $ 89, so these have the lowest price of any Odyssey putters in the family.
