8 speed crank and 9 speed crank for MTB?
I wonder if the chain designed for 9 speed cassette can also fit to the crank that they say is for 8 speed… I want to change my 8 speed cassette to 9 speed cassette, and also I will change my 8 speed designed chain to 9 speed designed chain, I will replace also my shifters to 9 speed….. But the thing is if I can leave my crankset as is???… because I bought a Specialized Hardrock comp with the 8 speed installed drivetrain, now I want to upgrade for 9 speed… Now is it possible to leave my crankset so that I can save money to buy the crankset.. because it is the one with higher value.. I hope you guys inderstand my question.. Thanks in advance…
