white-collared shirts how to get the oil stain collar neck?
My boyfriend white collared shirts turn yellow in the neck due to oils in the neck (he is Italian and his face is oily). What can you do to this? Moreover, the same happens to my white bra! Anyone know what to do? I heard white vinegar, soap, plain and simple, and screams are ways. Other? In addition, I do not want to wash the shirt after each use. So whatever I can do them without having to wash them every time?
I feel your pain. My husband is a waiter, and has to wear starched white shirts-uber to work every day. And, as you probably can guess, it gets everything from marinara, to coffee, tea, wine, and even rarely a blood stain on them. Not to mention the ring "around the neck" problem that occurs with sweat / oil. What I found particularly effective in removing all stains on his shirt is almost OxyClean in excessive amounts, mixed, hot hot. I usually double or triple the recommended dose OxyClean powder (I like to use 3 or 4 tablespoons of the big ones), is the place and the clothes in the washer, set the washer to soak, let the washer agitate a bit, then stops T-shirts and let soak for a few hours. Soaking overnight is best if you have really nasty stains get rid of it. The good news is that you can use quantities OxyClean NO excess of it and take your clothes for long periods of time without damaging the tissue or yellow, like bleach. Safe enough for bras, baby clothes, and lace, but is strong enough to get the waiter's job even as a new shirt. Good luck!
