I am having issues with removing my wheel hub on my 1998 malibu.?
I am trying to remove the right rear wheel hub on my 98 chevy malibu. i have disconnected the ABS wire from the backside of the hub, and i have removed the 4 visible bolts, is there another bolt somewhere that i am not seeing? The hub does not seem any more loose than it did with the bolts and will not budge. please help.
It’s just tight.
Use your drum (or disc) as a pulling tool.
Put it on backwards, and screw the wheel nuts on upside own, but only about two or three threads. Then push the drum or disc in against the hub and snatch it outwards. A few times doing that and the hub will come out.
When installing the new one, be sure to tighten the bolts a little at a time to evenly pull the hub into place.
